Underfloor heating is an ancient way of heating your home; the Romans first developed it. Technology has moved on now, so costs of installation are comparable to having a conventional heating system installed. To enjoy both the added comfort that underfloor heating allows, whilst also enjoying a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution, contact Lucion. We offer a fantastic way to supply heat energy to your under floor heating: a heat pump.
For underfloor heating, water needs to be heated to around 40°C, whereas for conventional heating water needs to reach at least 60°C. Due to the lower temperature under floor heating runs at, ground source heat pumps are highly suited to underfloor heating. The lower temperature needed also means that if you are concerned about energy emissions, underfloor heating combined with a ground source heat pump may be the perfect solution for you.
Lucion Energy can provide all forms of heat pump to work with underfloor heating. The main types of heat pump Lucion offer are:

There are many reasons to choose a renewable source, such as a heat pump to combine with your underfloor heating. One of the options that will make it even more beneficial is the planned Government incentives that would be available to help you pay for its installation. The Renewable Heat Incentive is a project set up by the Government to ensure that as many people who want to use renewable energy technologies in their homes can afford to do so. The incentive will commence in April 2011 and is aimed at both domestic and commercial properties which also embrace social landlords together with charitable organisations. Installations completed after August 2009 by MCS accredited companies are also valid for the RHI so you need not delay.
It comes in the form of a “cashback” payment dependant on the size and type of installation used. For example a medium domestic property could expect up to £1200 per year for 23 years to be paid back to them under this scheme, but a large industrial building of, say, 1,200m2 , attract an annual rebate of £11,000 by installing a ground source heat pump providing it is installed by an MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accredited installer.
