Client Details: Retrofit to a modern suburban home, sourced by a bore hole

Selected Unit: 12KW Worcester Bosch Greenstore Combi GSHP sourced by a bore hole

“We decided to revamp our heating  in October 2009; just as well we did as all through the cold winter of 2009/10, the house was constantly warm and cosy.

We wanted a renewable heating system but found it hard to get any sense out of anyone, then we spoke to Lucion. Lucion were great: from the first enquiry, we found them pragmatic, informative and efficient, giving us the confidence to opt for their recommendation. The installation process unfolded before our eyes with a minimum of fuss. Having only a small garden, we were advised a borehole was the best option. Now the only evidence that we draw our heat from the earth is lower bills; the ground works are completely invisible. It is good to know that what ever happens to gas and oil prices, we can rely on our heat pump to keep us warm. Once you have got your head around the physics and that these things are not some whacky new technology, it makes good sense. We are saving money and looking forward to the renewable heating incentive. I love showing it to friends who can’t believe that the house is heated by a pipe in the ground, whilst they are all paying for oil and gas”

After the installation, there are no visible signs of where the heat pump technology is in the ground, and it takes up very little space.
