Our clients come back to Lucion as they appreciate our no nonsense, pragmatic approach and proven record of delivery to deadlines.

Can I trust new renewable technology?

It is not new technology. In fact you have probably already got one in your house. A refrigerator is an example of a heat pump. Heat pumps are an established and reliable technology. Heat pumps have been widely installed aross Western Europe and North America. More than 500,000 heat pumps were installed across Western Europe in 2008.

Are ground source heat pumps just for “Eco-warriors”?

No. Heat pumps are an estlished and proven technology 5000 heat pumps are installed across Europe annually. It is certainly true that they are favoured by the green lobby because of their lower carbon emmissions. The primary reason for installing a heat pump is that they can deliver a constantly cozy, comfortable environment to live in.

Are ground source heat pumps safe?

Heat pumps do not depend upon combustion. There is therefore no fire risk and no risk of carbon monoxide escape. Typically radiators heated by heat pumps will be kept at a safe temperature and therefore do not require heat shields to protect burns to young or vulnerable people. This is great news for families. When combined with under floor heating, convection currents within your property are minimised. Dust and the allergies associated with dust disturbance can therefore be negated

Are ground source heat pumps reliable?

Heat pumps are considered to be durable, low maintenance and reliable installations. They require almost no maintenance and servicing. In contrast it is recommended that boilers are serviced annually. Heat pumps typically have a life span of 25 years. This compares to 5 years for a condensing boiler.
